The KIC Advice Story

KIC Advice is your advocate.

KIC empowers you to realise your potential – showing you exactly what you can do for your organisation.

Then, we connect you with the right strategic partners to help you make the most of your organisation. We advocate for you along the way, too – to make sure you understand what’s being done and still retain control over your organisation.

Leaders don’t join NFP organisations to drive profit, we know.

That’s where KIC Advice’s foundations were laid.

Not-for-profit organisations do so much good work. In fact, some of the world’s biggest advancements in issues pertaining to the environment, human rights, disability, and so much more are thanks to these organisations.

It’s important that these organisations are empowered to continue doing this good work. But, like any business, they still face issues like mounting maintenance costs, ageing headquarters, and, often, a lack of real business acumen.

Kic Advice

By partnering with strategic companies like KIC Advice, these organisations can make the most of the assets at their disposal and generate the revenue they need to continue that good work.

That’s where KIC Advice started. Today, we help any kind of organisation. But we still have a soft spot for our NFPs.

Our mission is to help organisations everywhere realise their potential.

The values KIC advises you with

Understanding

Our first value is understanding yours. It’s how we align our team with yours to ensure we meet your needs in a way that aligns with your organisation.

Transparency

We know this is our world, not yours. We’re transparent with you at every stage of the process, so you know where we’re up to and what happens next.

Collaboration

Through collaboration and communication, we continue to ensure that we’re the right fit for your organisation and you feel confident in our strategy.

Integrity

You do good work. So, it’s important that your professional partners do, too. We act with integrity at all times when interacting with you and on your behalf.

Bec comes to KIC Advice with a long working history in a variety of high-profile positions. It’s her passion for supporting vulnerable groups within our community that landed her these positions.

Starting out in her career as a hairdresser, Bec went on to open and run her own salon.

As Bec’s passion for advocacy grew, she decided to better educate herself. She went to university to study Law and Politics. Then, after a 10-year stint writing policy for aged care in the Commonwealth Government, Bec had a long-time dream realised – she was elected to the ACT Legislative Assembly.

As a member of parliament, Bec developed and implemented many community support initiatives in an ever-changing environment.

With this momentum built, Bec left politics with the intention of continuing her advocacy work. She soon became the CEO of a community-managed peak body. It was in this role that Bec began delivering innovation to the community sector through her business development, budgeting, and governance skills, which have resulted in positive growth and innovation for the community sector.
